Jocelyn had her 12 month appointment today, she is 33" tall and weighs 23 pounds and is still in the 95th percentile. She had three shots, always fun, but handled them fairly well. Her doctor seemed to diapprove that she still gets a bottle so I guess it is time to wean her off of them... any suggestions?

Last night I came home from work and the house looked even worse than when I had left. I said to Matt, you don't get any more done than I do! His reply? Well, by the time I got her to sleep I was too worn out, plus I didn't want to wake her up.
I am so glad he can understand how my days go...

At the Zoo

Saturday we all went to the zoo. We had a wonderful time looking at the animals. Jocelyn loved the Elephants, and all the furry animals in the small animal house. We had a hard time keeping her from banging on the glass, she wanted their attention so badly!

Jocelyn's Birthday

We had Jocelyn's birthday party Friday night and considering the fact that she had not napped all day it went well. She had a blast with the family, her birthday ball and balloons and discovered a love for M&M's. She loves all the gifts she received - thanks everyone!

Jocelyn Macel Doane

Our beautiful little girl turns 1 today! I can't believe how fast the year has gone by. It is amazing how much she has learned and grown in such a short time. Jocelyn has an amazing personality and keeps us on our toes at all times. She went from walking to trying to climb her dresser like a rock wall in a matter of days. We can't seem to baby proof fast enough! She learns new words all the time, although her current favorite is 'ball', used to describe anything remotely round. If you try to tell her the correct word ie: orange, she will argue with you until you give in (or give up). She loves to be around people, especially if she is the center of attention. She is constantly checking to make sure people are watching her as she dances, plays, or does anything she thinks is funny.
It is also fitting that she slept thought the night for the first time last night! Hopefully that will continue!

We are so blessed to have her and can not wait to see what the future holds for us as a family.

First time for everything...

After reading the blogs of our friends and family, Matt and I have decided to give it a shot. Hopefully we can manage to keep it updated so we can share our lives with those who are interested. Here we go!
